Dr.-Ing. Stefanie Jauns-Seyfried completed her doctorate in process engineering at Clausthal University of Technology from 1992 to 1995 under Professor Reinhard Scholz. Ms. Jauns-Seyfried discovered her interest in vehicle technology with her first car, the VW "Potato Beetle". Today, the engineer works at Volkswagen AG in Wolfsburg, where she heads the Function and Software Development of Drive Electronics department. On October 31, 2011, Clausthal University of Technology founded the IPSSE research network in cooperation with Volkswagen AG. This "Institute for Applied Software Systems" develops software for VW drive technology. Dr. Jauns-Seyfried plays a leading role in this and, as a mother of two children, she is also a good example of how to combine family and career.
