Further training in university didactics

The Center for University Didactics (ZHD) at Clausthal University of Technology was founded in 2011.

The aim of the ZHD is to create a teaching-learning culture that enables students to study successfully and values teaching as a central component of the university. Together with teaching staff from all status groups, the ZHD works in higher education didactic workshops, certificate programs, coaching sessions, consultations and other formats to focus on student learning in accordance with the standards of "good teaching". For us, learning is a constructive, social, self-directed, emotional, situational and active process.

Together with interested lecturers, the ZHD takes small steps to develop new ideas for teaching and learning at Clausthal University of Technology. It also offers support with applications for (teaching) awards, the dissemination of proven and new teaching methods in the spirit of scholarship of teaching and learning and other matters relating to everyday (teaching) life.
