Dr.-Ing. Jörg Buddenberg

Dr.-Ing. Jörg Buddenberg, born in 1959, studied mining (in parts comparable to today's subject "Energy and Raw Materials") at Clausthal University of Technology and received his doctorate in 1991 under Professor Dr. Walter Knissel. He particularly liked the diversity of the course and the combination of technology, natural sciences, economics and business management aspects.

Today, Dr. Buddenberg is Managing Director of EWE ERNEUERBARE ENERGIEN GmbH, a competence center within the EWE Group for the Renewable Energies business area. The company develops and operates plants for renewable electricity generation from wind, biomass, photovoltaics and hydropower in northern Germany. Its business activities focus on onshore and offshore wind and biomass. EWE ERNEUERBARE ENERGIEN GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of EWE AG.

His motto in life is to always stay calm and ... "Don't panic!".
